Tom Brady has several new teammates with the New England Patriots after a very offseason. One of them is wide receiver Branding Cooks, who feels very lucky playing with Brady after playing three seasons under Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints.

The 23-year-old WR and a 2017 fourth-round pick were acquired by the Patriots from the Saints on March 10 in exchange for a 2017 first-round and third-round picks. Cooks gives Tom Brady a new weapon in his quest for a sixth Super Bowl championship.

During his introductory press conference on Monday, Cooks told reporters that he feels very lucky playing for the Patriots. He added that he is a big fan of Tom Brady ever since he was a kid. It should be noted that Cooks was only six years old when Brady began his NFL career in 2000.

“To come in and now have the opportunity to play for another Hall of Fame quarterback, I guess, I know how to pick quarterbacks, right? I’m looking forward to it. I’ve followed Tom Brady since I was a kid, so to be able to have a chance to play with him is awesome,” Cooks said, via NESN.com.

The Patriots have reloaded their roster despite being the defending Super Bowl champions. They know that until Tom Brady and Bill Belichick retire, the team has a chance to win the Super Bowl every year. Based on the moves made by New England, they are gunning for the perfect season next year.

Some of the moves made by the Patriots to strengthen the team around Tom Brady include acquiring tight end Dwight Allen and defensive end Kony Ealy. New England also signed free agents cornerback Stephon Gilmore, defensive end Lawrence Guy and running back Rex Burkhead, per Patriots.com.

The Patriots also brought back players like safety Duron Harmon, tight end Michael Williams and linebacker Dont’a Hightower. The team can also improve more by trading cornerback Malcolm Butler and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
