Tom Brady of the New England Patriots will go down as the greatest quarterback in the history of the NFL. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick finally revealed what is the biggest impact of Brady on offense in an interview with Duke basketball head coach Mike Krzyzewski.

The five-time Super Bowl champion coach was on SiriusXM College Sports with “Coach K” and one of the things they talked about was Tom Brady. Belichick praised his quarterback’s accuracy and decision making but he points out that it’s not Brady’s biggest impact on their offense.

“The biggest thing Tom does for us is to try to keep us out of those bad plays where we have 5, 10 percent chance of really being successful, whether it’s a coverage or a blitz or an alignment that they give us, and he sees that what we’ve got called just isn’t what we want to be in,” Belichick said.

According to FOX Sports, Tom Brady is one of the best in the NFL at reading pre-snap plays. Belichick noted that the 40-year-old quarterback manages the game to their advantage and he gives their offense a chance to run a competitive play against the defense.

It showed in this year’s Super Bowl as the Tom Brady led the New England Patriots in the largest comeback in Super Bowl history. The Patriots erased a 25-point lead to force overtime and win their fifth Super Bowl title in franchise history.

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have been together since the 2000 season. By the looks of what the Patriots have done this offseason, the duo is looking to achieve something that has never been done since the NFL expanded the regular season to 16 games – a perfect season.

The Patriots almost did it in 2007 season but they lost Super Bowl XLII to the New York Giants. Tom Brady has a new weapon in wide receiver Brandin Cooks, who was acquired from the New Orleans Saints, and the defense got stronger when the Patriots signed cornerback Stephon Gilmore.
