The Dallas Cowboys have a big future with quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott as the cornerstones of the franchise. Prescott has stayed away from the headlines while Elliott is the opposite and it makes Cowboys legend Michael Irvin a little bit concerned.

Ezekiel Elliott has been involved in a couple incidents this offseason. The first one was during a St. Patrick’s Day party where he exposed woman’s breast in public. He received a lot of criticism on social media and from many NFL analysts.

The second incident was when the United States Coast Guard searched his yacht party in Miami, as reported TMZ Sports. The Coast Guard was just checking if Ezekiel Elliott and the guests on the boat are complying with maritime safety protocols.

It should also be noted that the NFL is still investigating Ezekiel Elliott for an alleged domestic abuse case from last season. The 21-year-old running back is grabbing the headlines for the wrong reasons and Cowboys legend and Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin gave him some advice.

Irvin, who won three Super Bowl titles with the Cowboys, told the Dallas Morning News that Ezekiel Elliott has to understand how big playing for the Cowboys is. He noted that “Zeke” has to be more careful because the public’s eyes are on him because he represents one of the biggest teams in America.

“I need him to understand the enormity of everything surrounding him. I know Ohio State is huge, but the Dallas Cowboys are something different. Everything you do, anything you do, that’s going to get out, that’s going to be a story. And you have to try to stay away from that,” Irvin said.

It’s not the first time a Hall of Famer has shown concern on Ezekiel Elliott. Vikings great Cris Carter thinks that Elliott has no respect for the Cowboys and the NFL, per FOX Sports. He also pointed how the team should give “Zeke” an adviser so that he won’t commit mistakes that can hurt the team in the future.
