NFL Community Remembers Former NFL Wide Receiver Terry Glenn

Terry GlennOn Monday, the NFL community lost a Super Bowl athlete. On a highway in Arlington, Texas, Terry Glenn and his Fiance were in the car when Glenn hit the concrete guardrail dividing the toll road and the highway. Then other cars crashed behind him causing a five-car pileup. When the Emergency Medical Team (EMT) arrived on the scene, they transported to Parkland Hospital in Dallas where around 1:00 am he was pronounced dead.

In 1996, Terry Gleen started his football career with the New England Patriots. With the 7th overall pick in the draft, the Patriots took him. Gleen played five seasons with the New England Patriots and even won the Super Bowl.

After the 2001 season, the Patriots cut Terry Glenn and told him he was going to be cut.

Shortly, after he was waived the Green Bay Packers during the 2002 season.

Finally, he went to the Dallas Cowboys from 2003-2007.

After the 2007 season with Dallas, Glenn decided to walk away from the game. When he did, he had some incredible numbers. In his career, he accumulated over 8,000 yards, 44 yards in 157 games he played. During his retirement, Gleen had substance abuse problems that lasted several years.

From everyone here at Sports Rants are hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends for this difficult loss. Terry Glenn was 43 years old.
