New England Patriots Fan Helps FBI In Locating Tom Brady’s Stolen Super Bowl Jerseys

The case of New England Patriots superstar quarterback Tom Brady’s stolen jerseys from Super Bowl XLIX and Super Bowl LI has brought in so much media attention that the FBI stepped in to help with the investigation. The case of the stolen Super Bowl jerseys would never have been solved if not for the help of 19-year-old Dylan Wagner.

According to a report from 247 Sports, Dylan Wagner helped the FBI in locating Tom Brady’s stolen Super Bowl jerseys. Dylan Wagner’s tip led the FBI to the location of where the stolen Super Bowl jerseys were.

Dylan Wagner is an avid New England Patriots fan and a sports memorabilia collector. When news broke out that not only Tom Brady’s Super Bowl LI jersey was stolen, but also Tom Brady’s Super Bowl XLIX jersey was also stolen, Dylan Wagner already where to find the Super Bowl jerseys.

“I knew exactly who had it,” Dylan Wagner said.

The man alleged to have stolen both Super Bowl jerseys is Martin Mauricio Ortega, as reported by USA Today. Martin Mauricio Ortega is a member of the international media and was present at Super Bowl XLIX and Super Bowl LI. Being a sports memorabilia collector also, Martin Mauricio Ortega came into contact with Dylan Wagner.

According to Dylan Wagner, Martin Mauricio Ortega bought a piece of sports memorabilia from him last December on eBay. During the course of the transaction, Dylan Wagner and Martin Mauricio Ortega talked about their collection.

As Dylan Wagner befriended Martin Mauricio Ortega, the media man sent Dylan Wagner over 30 photos of his extensive collection, including Tom Brady’s Super Bowl XLIX jersey.

Dylan Wagner didn’t take much notice of Tom Brady’s Super Bowl XLIX jersey. When news came out that Tom Brady’s Super Bowl LI jersey was stolen, that’s when Dylan Wagner called the FBI.
