Jeremy Lin has had a rough season for the struggling Brooklyn Nets, playing just 29 games all season due to a myriad of injuries. But during a Mar. 16 game against his former team – the New York Knicks – a rare win for the Nets, Lin led the team with 15 points, four rebounds, eight assists and two steals. Coincidentally, Lin wore his personalized Adidas Crazylight Boost that game.
Recently, Jeremy Lin opened up to The Vertical regarding his Adidas PE Adidas Crazylight Boost, which features all-over printed inscriptions about his family. Lin’s parents, Gie-Ming and Shirley, his brothers Joshua and Joseph, as well as his sister-in-law Patricia are included in the inscriptions.
Jeremy Lin credits his dad for introducing him to the game of basketball, while saying that it was her mom that drove him to every single game and practice. “In general, both of them being Asian-American immigrant parents, letting your kid play basketball and the amount of time they let us play was a big deal,” Lin told The Vertical. “The amount of money they put forth so that we could play – they were kind of getting ridiculed by other parents; there was social pressure to tell us to stop, and it was a very real thing.”
As for his brothers, Jeremy Lin shares that the three of them would play basketball for hours on. Joseph is a professional basketball player in Taiwan, who he trains with every summer. Meanwhile, Joshua and his wife Patricia owned the couch where Lin famously slept on before the onset of “Linsanity” in New York. Lin’s sister-in-law has served as her manager after his popularity exploded.
As noted by WeAreTesters.com, as of yet, there are no plans to bring the Adidas Crazylight Boost Jeremy Lin PE to retail. Lin signed on with Adidas in 2013, during his second year with the Houston Rockets, for a deal that would pay him $2 million annually for five years.
