The 2017 NFL Draft is just a couple of weeks away with defensive end Myles Garrett from Texas A&M as the consensus first overall pick. However, the Cleveland Browns are reportedly still undecided and they might even select North Carolina quarterback Mitch Trubisky.

According to ESPN, the Browns have not made up their minds regarding the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. It is despite the majority of NFL analysts thinking that Myles Garrett is the best overall player in this year’s draft class and some people believe he is a superstar in the making. One NFL executive even noted that people should not be surprised if the Browns don’t select Garrett.

The Browns, obviously, need a quarterback despite having three on their rosters – Cody Kessler, Kevin Hogan and Brock Osweiler. However, Myles Garrett is a generational talent that Cleveland can build their future around. The Browns can draft a quarterback later in the first round or possibly acquire one via trade since they are loaded with draft picks and cap space.

Browns head coach Hue Jackson have already met with Myles Garrett and the 21-year-old DE even revealed to ESPN Magazine that the Browns are going to draft him. But with all of the reports regarding the Browns’ decision, Garrett warned the team if he does not get selected first overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.

“I’ll be a difference-maker from day one. And I’m not gonna be in any trouble. I’m just gonna make plays and bring a good atmosphere to your organization. And I’m gonna start winning and winning now. And because if you don’t draft me No. 1, I will punish your team for the next 10 to 12 years,” Garrett said.

As for Mitch Tribusky, he is expected to be the first quarterback taken in the 2017 NFL Draft. If the Browns pass on him, the San Francisco 49ers could take him second overall. The 49ers recently met with Trubisky in North Carolina and new head coach Kyle Shanahan has personally worked with the 22-year-old quarterback.
